Selection for Admission to the Faculty of Professional Training

Who Is Admitted to the Faculty?

The Faculty admits citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as employees of internal affairs bodies and military servicemen who have completed military service (for men), possessing higher education, aged not younger than 18 and not older than 30 years inclusive.

Admission to the specialty “Offense Prevention Activities” is limited exclusively to employees of internal affairs bodies with at least two years of practical service experience.

Admission to the Faculty

Admission to the Faculty is conducted through a competitive selection process based on equality, fairness, transparency, and unified admission rules.

Preliminary selection is carried out in the structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Main Departments of Internal Affairs of the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region, and regional departments of internal affairs (hereinafter referred to as structural and territorial subdivisions). Special professional selection is conducted at the Institute.

Preliminary Selection Includes:

  • collection and review of documents;
  • assessment of general physical fitness;
  • medical examination.

Employees of internal affairs bodies and military servicemen participate only in document review during the preliminary selection stage.

Special Professional Selection at the Institute Includes:

  • document review;
  • medical examination;
  • assessment of intellectual knowledge level;
  • final individual interview.

The application (report) submission period is set at one month. The beginning and end dates are approved by an order of the Minister on organizing the selection of candidates.

Documents Submitted with the Application:

  • autobiography written by hand and typed;
  • questionnaire (personal data and information on close relatives).

For internal affairs employees, the report is accompanied by:

  • handwritten and typed autobiography;
  • questionnaire.

Assessment of Physical Fitness

Male candidates:

  • pull-ups on a horizontal bar;
  • 100-meter sprint;
  • 3000-meter run.

Female candidates:

  • strength exercise complex;
  • 100-meter sprint;
  • 1000-meter run.

During the winter period, physical fitness assessments are conducted indoors, except in favorable weather conditions.

In such cases:

  • all candidates perform a 10 × 10 meter shuttle run instead of the 100-meter sprint;
  • male candidates perform a 1000-meter run instead of the 3000-meter run;
  • female candidates perform a 400-meter run instead of the 1000-meter run.

Assessment of Intellectual Knowledge

The test consists of three blocks:

  • Block 1: Information Technology — 20 questions;
  • Block 2: Foreign Language (English) — 20 questions;
  • Block 3: Intellectual Development Level (IQ) — 20 questions.

Final Individual Interview

During the final individual interview, the candidate answers an examination ticket consisting of three questions:

  • Question 1: History of Uzbekistan;
  • Question 2: Law;
  • Question 3: Educational (upbringing) assignment.

Each subject is evaluated on a 100-point scale:

  • first question — up to 40 points;
  • second question — up to 40 points;
  • third question — up to 20 points.

If no correct answer is given to any of the questions, 0 points are awarded.
